(...) Organisatorisch hat alles Bestens und reibungslos geklappt. Meine Mails wurden von Korea Konsult immer rasch beantwortet und auch während der Reise gab es keine organisatorischen Schwierigkeiten. Da wir nur zwei Touristen waren und gut miteinander ausgekommen sind, war das Reisen auch sehr angenehm. Unsere Reisebegleiter waren sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit und sind grösstenteils auch auf unsere Wünsche eingegangen. Mit einem kleinen Bus kommt man auch besser vorwärts als mit einem grossen Reise Car. (...) Da wir bei der Einreise unsere Handys am Zoll abgaben und nicht direkt unseren Begleitern, ging es sehr lange bis unsere Begleiter die Handys vom Zoll bekamen und so hatten wir schon am ersten Abend ein bisschen Stress. Es hat aber dennoch rechtzeitig für die Arirang-Spiele gereicht. Diese waren einer der Höhepunkte der Reise. (...) Korea Konsult kann ich mit bestem Gewissen weiterempfehlen. Hallo Herr Dalard, (...) Zunächst möchte ich Ihnen herzlich für die gute Vorbereitung und Organisation der Reise danken. Auf meine vielen Fragen haben Sie mir stets schnell die gewünschten Antworten gegeben. Auch Ihren netten Empfang am Flughafen in Peking sowie die angenehme Begleitung auf dem Flug nach Pyöngyang haben mir sehr gefallen. Am Flughafen in Pyöngyang wurden mein Reisepartner Daniel aus der Schweiz und ich von 3 Koreanern freundlich empfangen. Während der gesamten Reise durch Nordkorea wurden wir von ihnen wirklich verwöhnt. Stets waren sie um unser Wohl bemüht und haben alles, was in ihrer Macht steht, uns ermöglicht. Bei aufgetreten Unwägbarkeiten, wie Stromausfall oder fehlendem Wasser, haben sie schnell für Abhilfe gesorgt. Gerne hätte ich mir einen näheren Kontakt mit den Koreanern auf der Straße oder auch einen zwanglosen Spaziergang durch die Stadt gewünscht. Gleichzeitig war mir aber bereits vorher bewusst, dass dies nicht möglich sein würde. Daher war es auch keine Enttäuschung für mich. (...). Auch einige gemeinsame Abende mit den 3 Reisebegleitern waren lustig und bereichernd. (...) Dafür wurde ich aber auch mit unheimlich vielen und verschiedenen Eindrücken quer durch das Land belohnt. Die Höhepunkte waren für mich das Arirang-Festival und die Feierlichkeiten zum Gründungstag der Partei am 10. Oktober in der Hafenstadt Wonsan. Gerne wäre ich hier auch länger als 10 Minuten geblieben. Andererseits war ich Frau Kim auch dankbar, dass sie uns vor die Zuschauermenge „geschmuggelt“ und somit einen tollen Blick ermöglicht hat. Besonders war auch der Wanderausflug im Diamantgebirge bei tollem Sonnenschein und strahlender Farbenpracht der Bäume. Ich denke, ich habe in der Vergangenheit schon viele Länder sehen können. Aber der intensive und vielfältige Einblick in dieses bizarre Land ist unvergleichlich und eine Bereicherung für mich, die ich nicht missen möchte. In der Anlage übersende ich Ihnen einige Fotos unserer Reise. FAZIT:  Die von ihnen organisierte Reise ist durchweg positiv verlaufen und lässt für mich keinen Freiraum für Kritik. Vor der Reise konnte ich mich schon ein wenig auf das Land vorbereiten, so dass mir die teilweise „begrenzten“ Möglichkeiten bewusst waren und auch keine Enttäuschungen entstanden. Im Gegenteil, abgesehen von dem misstrauischen Zoll bei der Ein- und Ausreise, wurden wir immer freundlich und zuvorkommend behandelt. Daher kann ich Korea Konsult nur empfehlen. (...). Lieber Michel, Das Feedback zu unserer Reise? Sehr, sehr positiv - wir sind beide sehr froh, dass wir Nordkorea in unsere Route aufgenommen haben! Absolutes Highlight: die Spiele (Mass Games. Auch wenn wir nur diese gesehen haetten, waere das die Reise wert gewesen!!! Die Eindruecke waren einfach unglaublich, und wir hatten noch dazu wirklich ausgezeichnete Sitze. Organisation eurerseits: Alles hat voellig rund geklappt. Absolutes Kompliment an euch! Reiseleitung und Fahrer vor euch: Sehr professionell und nett sowie (im Rahmen ihre Moeglichkeiten) sehr bemueht! Die Hauptfuehrerin hatte auch sehr gute Englischkenntnisse, nahm aber alles sehr genau und ernst. Ihr zweiter Reisefuehrer glich das aber sehr gut aus. Etwas laestig war, dass sie gesehen hatte, dass wir eine Stange Zigaretten aus dem Duty Free mitgenommen hatten und dass sie anscheinend aeusserst genau beobachtete, wie viele wir noch hatten (und dann ganz gezielt nach den noch nicht verteilten Packungen fragte) - aber das ist wirklich eine Kleinigkeit, und wenn das alles ist, was uns etwas stoerte, ist es wirklich vernachlaessigbar Bei einigen der "Pflichtpunkte" war der Propagandagehalt doch sehr hoch, bzw. unterschieden sich die Darstellungen sehr von dem, was wir bisher so gelernt hatten (vorsichtig formuliert), aber das war klarerweise zu erwarten... ;-) Unterbringung und Verpflegung: Beides wirklich in Ordnung Viele Gruesse Andreas

(...) Das Programm wurde bis ins Detail respektiert. genial: Da ich alleine gereist bin ohne Handy ohne Internet hatte ich sehr viel Zeit für mich, konnte über mein Leben nachdenken und relaxen. Ich habe mich schon lange nicht mehr so entspannt gefühlt! Beste Erlebnisse: wandern in der wunderschönen Natur! Spaziergänge am Abend in der Stadt natürlich mit den Reisebegleitern. weniger gut: Die Einschränkung betreffend photographieren, leider keinen Kontakt mit Einheimischen möglich. Ich war mit der Reise und der Organisation sehr zufrieden und sie hat meinen Vorstellungen und Erwartungen voll entsprochen.  Ich würde noch einmal die gleiche Reise buchen. Vielleicht würde ich versuchen 2 unerfahrenere Reisebegleiter zu finden :-) , bei denen es ein bisschen einfacher ist Fotos zu machen... Ansonsten war ich mit denen sehr zufrieden. Ich weiss natürlich, dass die Anweisungen von Oben kommen und die Reiseleiter nicht viel Spielraum haben. Mit freundlichen Grüssen

Hallo an alle, die bei Korea Konsult gelandet sind! 

Ich kann und will Euch meine Eindrücke nicht vorenthalten, daher dieser kurze Bericht über die Reise nach Nordkorea vom 28.04.-05.05.2011.

Vorerst einen lieben Dank persönlich an Julia, die eine Riesenorganisationsarbeit geleistet hat, um unsere Individualreise zu ermöglichen. Ich muss ehrlich zugeben: nach dem ersten Versuch, die Nordkoreareise über eine Moskauer Agentur zu buchen, die ganz uninteressiert an die Sache ranging und ich mir nur als lästig und aufdringlich vorkam, war ich sehr erfreut und erstaunt, mit welchem Enthusiasmus und in welchem Tempo Julia alles Nötige unternommen hat, damit wir rechtzeitig unsere Visas in Moskau und in Berlin bekommen konnten und auch sonst sehr schnell das konkrete Aufenthaltsprogramm vorschlug. An dieser Stelle explizit Tausend Dank für Ihre wundervolle Arbeit!

Aber auch vor Ort war ich überrascht, wie durchorganisiert unser Aufenthalt war. Dank einer Riesenerfahrung (über 25 Jahre) von unseren koreanischen Guides Ten Yen Suk und Liu Llen Hwa wurden wir immer als erste überall an allen Sehendwürdigkeiten eingeschleust, bekamen fundierte Einblicke in die offizielle Informationserstattung und in die Geschichte des Landes. Es ist selten der Fall, dass die Nacharbeitung der Reise nach deren Ende länger andauert: Eindrücke unter Freunden ausgetauscht - man legt meist die Reise ad acta. Hier ist es absolut anders: gerade nachdem ich zurückgekehrt bin, habe ich angefangen mich mit der Materie auseinanderzusetzen, da es wirklich eine äußerst interessante Zeitreise in ein Paralleluniversum war und ich nun vieles mit anderen Augen sehe. Das, was man üblicherweise als normal oder selbstverständlich ansieht, kommt nun nicht mehr als selbstverständlich vor und man beginnt die Kleinigkeiten zu schätzen, aus denen unser alltägliches Leben besteht, mit all den Freiheiten und Reichhaltigkeit des Alltags. Leider kommt man an fast keine objektiven Erkenntnisse über die tatsächliche Lage in Nordkorea, das erschwert natürlich die eigene Interpretationsarbeit und Wahrheitssuche. Dennoch es gibt mehr als genug zum Nachdenken!

Dafür vielen Dank. Ich hoffe nun, dass Korea als Land und als Volksgemeinschaft zur Einigkeit und zur Ruhe kommt und wünsche sowohl allen Koreanern als auch den wunderbaren Menschen, die mir diese Erlebnisse beschert haben, alles erdenklich Gute. Beste Grüße

Just got back from our Film Festival tour and wanted to say thank you for organising a great tour.
Our tour leaders - Miss Park and Mr Lee - were exceptionally helpful and understanding, doing their best to accommodate our needs - they maintained their calm manner throughout and were thoroughly professional.

Notwithstanding the very difficult times the country is experiencing we were able to see the beauty of the countryside, the warmth of the people and the resilient culture.   For most of us, Arirang was the highlight - seeing pictures doesn't do it justice as once you are there, the excitement of the crowd and the music makes for a once in a lifetime experience.  For me personally, the other highlight was the Pyongyang Film Festival.  Although there were no North Korean films in the competition, it gave me the opportunity to see what kind of films were selected and sit in an audience of North Koreans and see their response to the films that were shown.

One of the main reasons for going on the tour for many members of the group was to see for ourselves North Korean society - though realizing the limitations of people coming from outside the culture and such a short and limited stay - nevertheless all the members felt it was an amazing experience to see a society organised so different to our own.

(...) Die Organsisation der Nordkorea-Reise durch euch war in jeder Hinsicht perfekt. Alles hat hervorragend geklappt und der Ablauf der Reise in Korea war zwar anstrengend, aber ebenfalls perfekt. Als Individualreisender ohne Gruppenerfahrung hat mir insbesondere die Zusammensetzung unserer 8-köpfigen Gruppe ausserordentlich gefallen. Alle hatten mehr oder weniger ausgedehnte Reiseerfahrungen und waren eben auch keine typischen Gruppenreisenden. Ich als weitaus Ältester in der Gruppe (60) genoss auch die altersmässige Zusammensetzung zwischen 26 und 49 Jahren. Die Nationalitätenzusammensetzung (4 Norwegen, 1 Schweden, 1 Italien bzw. Australien, 1 Polen und ich als Schweizer) hat einen hervoragend Mix ergeben und ich habe vor allem auch die Skandinavier von ihrer allerbesten Seiten kennen gelernt.

Die beiden Guides in Korea, Pak, 55 und Kim, 26, waren hervorragend. So konnten wir Ansichten aus älterem und aus jüngerem Munde vernehmen. Sie beantwortetet so ziemlich alle Fragen der Gruppe, auch etwas kompliziertere, ohne natürlich jemals zu vergessen, dass sie Nordkoreaner waren.

Ich hoffe, dass ich vielleicht wieder einmal eure Dienste in Anspruch nehmen darf. Vorerst wünsche ich euch alles Gute, privat und geschäftlich, und sende die allerbesten Wünsche aus der Schweiz.

About one week ago, we came back home to Norway. By that time we had been travelling for 28 days, and I think I can safely say that I've never experienced so many interesting things during a period of 4 weeks before. Russia was amazing, so was China. But of course, North Korea was undoubtly the most interesting country of them all. It will be difficult to explain it properly. Pyongyang was a dazzling city,full of impressive monuments and buildings! Also, it had some strange features, like the massive roads without cars leading in and out of the city, and the dark appearance at night, with builders constantly working, accompanied by opera-like revolutionary Korean songs on loudspeakers. We also got to see beautiful nature, and in addition we had a pleasant stay at a spa hotel. And of course many, many other interesting things. The visit to the Kim Il Sung mausoleum made a huge impression on all of us. Being in the same room as the eternal president was incredible, and it is something which I of course will never forget. But I think that the most interesting place we visited, was the DMZ. I can't think of any other place in the world where you can get closer to reality. You could really feel the tension in the air. We were even allowed to cross the border to South Korea inside one of the buildings built across the border. That was also a strange experience. But nevertheless a strong one. There's really too much to say about the trip. I'm very, very satisfied with how the itinerary turned out; I think we got the very most out of the week we spent in one of the world's strangest countries. We enjoyed it so much! Really, a journey to remember. I must tell you how impressed I am with how smooth everything has gone. Thinking about it now, after half a year of planning, it has been quite a lot of things to handle. And nothing would be possible without your aid, for which I am deeply thankful for. I think you have been simply FANTASTIC! Quick and informative answers to any question, and obviously a great knowledge of what you're doing. I rarely have the pleasure to experience such great service from a company and it's employees, and for that I thank you again, and I hope you will carry on with your great efforts in the future!

We had a wonderful time in North Korea, and who knows, we might return some day...but until then, we still have all the memories. And some hundred pictures and videos to look at!

The two guides, Mr. Lee and Mr. Kim, were knowledgeable, helpful, and friendly. The driver Mr. Lee was also very nice and was an
excellent, careful driver, especially noteworthy considering the Korean style of driving he had to deal with on the roads. We also
enjoyed the Korean food and the restaurants that were selected. We really appreciated the opportunity to observe the lifestyle,
participate in their customs, see the enormity of the monuments, and learn the North Korean perspective of their history as well as current desire for reunification. Needless to say, Arirang was MAGNIFICENT (we went twice).

I should also mention that we liked the way so much was packed into each day. No time was wasted. With only four days, we did and saw as much as was possible. Thanks again for a great experience.

I thought I would just write to you and thank you for organising our trip to DPRK. We had a great time, it is a fascinating country and the
people are great, and we would both really like to go back there sometime:-)
There were a couple of planned things that we could not do, but nevertheless I think we saw and experienced a great deal during our short stay!!

The holiday to DPRK was really very good and absolutely fascinating. The guides and driver were also very nice and their English is really

I am writing to thank you for your assistance with our excellent trip to DPRK & China. We had an absolutely great time, everything went smoothly (transport, connexions and accommodation), and our guides couldn't have been more helpful and charming).

We were very sorry to leave DPRK, which I thought was an excellent place, and only wish that we could have stayed for longer and done some more exploration, particularly of the NE of the country and the coast.

Beijing was largely unrecognizable from when we were last there in 2001, much more traffic-choked and clearly fully embracing unrestrained capitalism. I hope that Pyongyang doesn't end up the same way, though I think it inevitable that it will sooner-or-later.

I did email our DPRK guides to thank them, and to send a couple of pictures. If you are in contact with them please let me know if they were able to receive the message, if not then I'll re-send via you, if that's OK.

I shall continue to extol the virtues of DPRK, and point any interested people in your direction.

Thanks a lot for organizing this trip. My week in northern Korea under your tour was the most amazing week in my life. I have long had an interest in the country and to finally go there was beyond expectations. The organizing was smooth, communication excellent and the tour itself amazing! The Koreans showed to be the kindest and most sincere people I have ever encountered.It saddens me to realize that I can’t have the opportunity to pay back by being a just as good host for these people in my country.

Isolation is never good, and what you are doing to bring people to Korea is of utmost importance, both for Koreans and for us from outside.

I hope I can come back in a near future, and will then of course go with Korea Konsult once again!

there as an english teacher but i don't think they allow americans to do that.i miss them already.

Finally managed to find a little time to let you know about our trip to North Korea. We came back a little over a week ago, but are still
processing the whole thing. So many things we've seen and experienced!

First of all, thanks again for all your work. Everything was expertly arranged, and we cannot thank you enough for that. If anyone ever asks us for recommendations on travel agents for North Korea, we're more than happy to point them to you ;-)

As we were told, indeed our days were packed to the hilt with sights and activities, so we did not mind getting back to our hotel room at night! Think all of the desinations on our program, except, to our regret, the visit to Kim Il-Sung university. According to our guide, this was because staff was busy with the prospective students' entrance exams, and we just had to take his word for it ;-) Instead we went to the Pyongyang Folk Museum, which was interesting enough. We particularly enjoyed our trips to
Wonsan/Lake Sijung (that beach!), and Kaesong and the DMZ. As to the latter: it was surreal to stand across from tourists on the Southern side at only a couple of feet distance. None of us said anything, guess both sides were stunned at the sight!

Our guides even sang us a goodbye song in the car on the way to the hotel after our last dinner together ;-)) Furthermore, we were able to benefit from Mr Rim's extensive knowledge base, which made for very informative excursions, and we also had some very interesting discussions on very diverse topics.

So all in all, a very interesting (and exhausting!) trip, which has definitely wetted our appetite for more. Who knows, in the future....?

By the way, we had that beautiful sunny weather throughout our whole trip!

Hello !

I just want to thank you for the all the attention you gave me for the preparation of the trip in North Korea.The group was great and personally I enjoyed the trip so much!!! The funniest moment was when the van broke down and we remained on the road back to Pyongyang for hours: a real North Korean experience!!!

I liked the trip so much (compared to China) that I regretted the decision to leave before the Mass Games, but since I'll stick with Asia in my next trips... I could take a detour and decide to come back, with the Mass Games included of course!

Je viens de revenir d'Asie, et je souhaitais vous dire que nous avons passé un excellent séjour en Corée du Nord. Nos guides étaient vraiment sympathiques, et nous avons beaucoup rigolés tous ensembles... La nourriture était vraiment excellente à chaque fois et ns avons eu l'occasion de goûter la "Dog meat soup" lors de notre passage à Kaesong. C'était un séjour extrêmement interessant...

J'espère avoir un jour l'occasion d'y retourner... car mon grand regret est de ne pas avoir pu assister aux mass games... néanmoins nous avons eu la possibilité d'aller au cirque.

Je tiens encore à vous remercier car l'organisation était parfaite...

I have been to North Korea july 2008 and was really surprised by the country and its' people. The trip was well organized by Korea Konsult and definitely wanna go back sometime!

Jag skulle bara vilja *tacka* för en super lyckad och välorganiserad resa!! Det var så intressant och gruppen var helskön, vi hade väldigt kul tillsammans!!

Jag reser gärna till Nordkorea igen, och jag önskar det vore möjligt att hålla kontakten med guiderna....
De lyssnade och när jag kom med förslaget att vi skulle äta italiensk pizza (hade läst att en ny restaurang hade öppnat precis) ordnade de det....speciellt guiden som talade tyska var väldigt service-minded. Jag har inte hans namn nu, men du kanske vet vem jag menar ändå?

Ha det gott och ja, kanske hörs vi igen för en ny resa vid senare tillfälle?! hälsningar

Hej, nu är vi hemma igen efter resa till Nordkorea.

Måste få tacka för den facinerande och otroligt roliga resan. För oss var det en av höjdpunkterna under hela vår 7 månaders tripp. Michel är fantastisk och skulle gärna resa med honom som reseledare igen. Kommer varmt rekomendera er för eventuella bekanta som är intresserade av landet, tyvärr är de dock inte så många.

Funderade på att bränna ut och skicka ner hela filmen om ni vill ha. Många kramar.
